2023 · Art Installation

The "Celular 50" exhibition occurred at the Museu do Amanhã (Museum of Tomorrow) in Rio de Janeiro from May to August 2023.
"To overcome the limitations of time and space, we have resorted to smoke signals, carrier pigeons, telegraph, and telephone, among other solutions. But none of these solutions brought as much speed and freedom as the cell phone. The technology that has transformed the way we access, share, and produce information completes 50 years this year. We celebrate the date by presenting the public with an immersive experience in the history, impacts, and transformations that the cell phone has caused, is causing, and will cause in society."
Vini Fabretti was responsible for the concept and development of the 4G space. Felipe Portugal, Ananda Banhatto, and Marcela Dottling were the montage directors and audiovisual footage researchers who made the experience possible, where contemporary themes were addressed regarding the information explosion brought about by information systems through smartphones, social networks, and messaging apps.
The scope of the installation was to create an immersive room where 128 televisions were arranged in a wave shape spreading various images representing the flood of information that has repercussions in today's society.
The exhibition was a success, attracting more than 150,000 people to the "Museu do Amanhã" to experience the display.
