Redefining Rio de Janeiro’s holiday season, Vini served as the Creative and Artistic Director for "The Nutcracker – A Projection Mapping Work." This immersive spectacle ran alongside the classic ballet’s premiere at the iconic Theatro Municipal, merging architectural heritage with cutting-edge digital storytelling.
The Creative Journey The project was born from three months of intensive research. Alongside artist Leticia Pantoja, we delved into E.T.A. Hoffmann’s original 1816 tale and its countless iterations in cinema and dance. This deep dive allowed us to craft a unique script and visual guide that honored the source material while offering a fresh, contemporary perspective.
A Sonic Reimagining The experience was heightened by a bespoke soundtrack developed by Rafa Gasparian. We took Tchaikovsky’s legendary score and deconstructed it—reordering movements and integrating pre-conceived sound concepts. By layering original sound design, cinematic effects, and atmospheric textures, we transformed the traditional score into an immersive auditory journey.
Impact and Legacy The result was a viral phenomenon. The project dominated social media across Brazil and became a "must-see" recommendation for Rio’s tourism boards. With coverage across major national TV networks and news outlets, this six-month production didn't just entertain—it elevated the standard for Christmas tourism in Rio de Janeiro, proving the power of collective creative effort.
